Born in Yorkshire, though for many years now living in Lincolnshire, John was for many years a Church of England priest, with his last post being at Lincoln Cathedral.

Throughout his life he’s had a passion for the country’s built heritage - ensuring that our buildings are safe, well maintained and enjoyed by those who visit, live and work in these historic treasures.

IPC allows him to enjoy his passion for heritage whilst serving our many wonderful and varied clients.

Anne Irving

Director

With a background spanning archaeology, project management, and fundraising, Anne has successfully led major capital projects and secured over £20 million in grant funding for heritage organisations.

Anne’s broad skill set allows her to expertly support organisations through complex and challenging projects. She is passionate about the UK's natural and built heritage with a particular fondness for her home county of Lincolnshire.

Fiona Beemster

Fiona Beemster
Heritage Project Officer

Fiona holds a degree in Heritage Studies and has worked in the heritage sector for the last twenty years. She has held various positions at Lincoln Cathedral and her work with The Open Palace Programme has taken her to some of the UK’s finest palaces, heritage sites and museums.

Fiona is also an artist and designer, working with a variety of clients.

Hannah Kanharn

Hannah Kanharn
Heritage Project Officer

Hannah holds a Master's degree in Museum and Heritage Development and has over five years of experience in client-facing roles. Her experience in the heritage sector includes gallery curation, archival research, and the preservation of historic collections. Alongside her work with collections, Hannah's practical skills include working with diverse audiences and furthering accessibility in heritage spaces

Kate Wilson

Kate Wilson
Heritage Project Officer

After graduating from Keele University with a degree in history Kate worked for Lincoln Cathedral for many years while maintaining a keen interest in domestic and industrial architecture and its place in history and society. Working with Irving Patrick enables her to pursue this interest and develop a practical knowledge of heritage properties.

Liz Wise

Liz Wise
Office Administrator

For many years Liz worked for Lincoln Cathedral Works Department, gaining valuable administrative experience, developing a passion for heritage skills, and also learning how to do traditional upholstery. After leaving the cathedral she ran a successful upholstery business from home for a number of years, before she felt the draw back to the heritage sector and is now providing invaluable administrative support to IPC.

Anna Cullum Associates

Anna helps museums, galleries, natural settings, and heritage sites to realise their vision for change, collaborating with clients in the UK and abroad.

Janet Spavold

Janet is a retired university lecturer and author, with an extensive knowledge of medieval and later history, industrial archaeology, and vernacular architecture. She supports IPC in their research and interpretation of heritage buildings.
