Boston Townscape

Heritage Lincolnshire and Boston Borough Council are working together to deliver the £1.8m Boston Townscape Heritage Project. The project seeks to rejuvenate and restore the town’s historic centre as well as improve facilities for local people and boost the local economy.

Design Brief

The scheme offers grants to building owners and leaseholders for repairs and shopfront reinstatements to properties to enhance the town centre, making it an attractive area to local people and visitors. In addition, the project will deliver public realm works around the town, upskilling local young people and contractors. IPC and Anna Cullum Associates are providing a summative evaluation of the project, measuring the extent the scheme has met its objectives, along with an assessment of impact, reach and legacy.

Production of an Evaluation Framework, regular progress meetings with the project team, and ongoing collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data enables IPC and ACA to provide useful feedback to the Project Team; we are undertaking one-to-one interviews with property owners, street questionnaires and footfall surveys to provide an evidence base for the evaluation.
